SECONDARY GLAZING OPTIONS

If you're not looking to replace all your windows with double glazing, you can still get some of the benefits of noise and heat loss reduction offered by double glazing by installing secondary glazing.

Secondary glazing is much cheaper than full replacement windows, and ranges from simple, cheap, plastic sheeting designed to be used for one season, to more sophisticated sliding constructions.

If a good seal is made by the secondary glazing, between the two layers for glass, it will effectively slow down the rate of heat loss, and provide some noise insulation.
